Missions

Central Baptist Church’s goal is to be a mission-minded church continuously growing and moving forward. One way we accomplish this by bringing in mission speakers from Tabcom and Honduras. Central Baptist Church is involved with mission projects in the community and the world.

In collaboration with our Sunday School we sponsored Raoul, a young child in Honduras. The Sunday School children collected enough money to provide Raoul with a full year of schooling. We are also sending money to and supporting missionaries in different parts of the world including Honduras.

We hope to continue the involvement of Central Baptist Church with our on-going mission projects as well as incorporating new projects. For more information about missions or suggestions of what projects you are interested in pursuing please contact our administrative assistant in the office. For dates and times of the Mission Board’s meetings see our monthly newsletter on CBC’s Facebook page. Donations are always needed and appreciated.

Westfield Soup Kitchen

On the 5th Wednesday of a month, approximately 4 times a year, Central Baptist Church prepares and serves a full evening meal at the Westfield Soup Kitchen on Meadow Street.  The “crew” generally meets around 1 pm at the church to prepare the meal then transports it to the Soup Kitchen around 4:15 pm and serves beginning at 5pm.  Led by Sue Ellinger, anyone interested in helping should contact her or the church.
